Atex Safety Service firmly believes in the value of people’s training growth especially in terms of safety against explosions.
Theoretical, practical and combined courses addressed to ATEX safety. We organize courses in videoconference or in presence.
The multidisciplinarity of the courses offered and the completeness of the information provided allow us to train all those involved in the world of safety: employers, safety managers, consultants, builders, designers, installers, maintenance workers and Control Authority’s inspectors.
In addition to fulfilling the training obligation (Dlgs. 81/2008 and amendments), our participants are stimulated and involved with an interactive method which includes the examination of practical cases in order to get skills to be later concretely expendable. The training is held by tutors with certified competence, with a constantly updated technical preparation and recognized professional and teaching skills.
Participants will receive Training material and a certificate of attendance.
Depending on your needs, our courses have different duration and are available with different characteristics and addresses (electrical, mechanical, installation, maintenance and repair); the courses can be carried out by videoconference, at our facilities or at yours.
Training course
ATEX directives
2014/34/EU & 99/92/EC
The course presents the general aspects of ATEX Directives (equipment and installations) and related risks: principles on explosive atmospheres, Ex protection methods, reference standards, requirements for compliance, necessary marking and documentation, hazardous area with explosion risk (classification and protection document), selection criteria and installation of electrical systems (IEC / EN 60079-14 standard).
It is addressed to employers, safety managers, consultants, designers, installers, maintenance workers and systems and equipment users, surveillance and Control Authority’s inspectors.
Training course
Intrinsic Safety
Know it to use it better.
The course is dedicated to the examination or review of this complicated subject, such as the general criteria for the equipment design, marking and certification (IEC/EN 60079-11 standard) and the rules for creating Ex-i systems and installations especially for instrumentation.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements is a guarantee for the correct and safe application of this protection technique, which uses the new technological solutions available on the market..
It is addressed to manufacturers, designers, consultants, instrument engineers, installers and maintenance technicians.
Training course
ATEX mechanical and assemblies
From standards EN 13463 to EN ISO 80079-36 & 37
The course is aimed at the assessment of ATEX mechanical risks and the application of prevention and protection techniques of ignition sources in equipment, machines, assemblies and installations. The main requirements of the reference standards and the Ex h marking are presented.
It is for manufacturers, designers, consultants, installers, maintenance technicians and Control Authority’s inspectors.
Training course
Inspection and maintenance of ATEX electrical installations
Standard CEI EN 60079-17
The course covers the aspects related to the periodic checks and maintenance of electrical installations in ATEX, which are mandatory according to the laws and regulations in force.
It is for employers, safety managers, consultants, designers, installers, maintenance workers and installations and equipment users, surveillance and Control Authority’s inspectors.
Training course
Classification of ATEX areas
StandardsCEI EN 60079-10-1 & CEI EN 60079-10-2
Training and competence in ATEX are essential requirements.
Zone classification is the basis for any ATEX risk assessment process, valid for both plant design and occupational safety (L.D. 81/2008).
The course is for employers, safety managers, consultants, designers, installers, maintainers and users of plants and equipment, and inspectors of supervisory and control bodies.
Training course
Hydrogen: ATEX and plant safety
A green but explosive transition
Hydrogen (H2) is the key energy carrier for the energy transition; this offers new opportunities, but also presents significant challenges.
Storage, transport and distribution require advanced technical solutions.
Safety is a priority, with particular attention to explosion risks in ATEX environments; targeted adjustments will be essential to ensure sustainability, reliability and safety.
These aspects will determine the success of their integration into the energy system.
The course is aimed at employers, safety managers, consultants, designers, installers, maintenance personnel and users of plant and equipment, as well as inspectors from supervisory and regulatory bodies.
Training course
Design, selection and erection of electrical installations in ATEX
Standard EN 60079-14
The course covers the necessary aspects and requirements for the design, selection and erection of electrical installations in ATEX classified areas.
It is for designers, installers, maintenance workers and Ex installations and equipment users, consultants and Control Authority’s inspectors.
Company course
ATEX and IECEx quality systems
Standard EN ISO/IEC 80079-34
The course covers basic ATEX knowledge, Ex equipment with the main protection types, rules for ATEX compliance and marking; it analyses in detail the main requirements of Ex quality systems (EN ISO/IEC 80079-34) that are supplementary to ISO 9001.
It is for: Quality Management Managers, ATEX/IECEx Authorised Persons, Purchasing/ Sales Department.
Competence certifications
Ism-ATEX and Saqr-ATEX
Certification of Competence
Ism-ATEX
The course is designed to lead to the ISM-ATEX electrical and mechanical certification of competence, issued by INERIS, an ATEX notified body, upon passing the assessment test; this certification is valid for 3 years.
The certification is intended for electrical and mechanical personnel working in the Ex sector: manufacturers, consultants, designers, installers, maintenance engineers and inspectors from regulatory bodies. It provides evidence of ATEX training in accordance with the relevant laws and standards.
Certification of Competence
Saqr-ATEX repairs
The course is designed to lead to the SAQR-ATEX certification of competence, issued by INERIS, an ATEX notified body, upon passing the assessment test; this certification is valid for 3 years. It is aimed at repairers of Ex equipment (electrical and/or mechanical). The certification of individuals is linked to the certification of repair workshops, in accordance with the Saqr-ATEX scheme (Quality Assurance System for Repairs), the IEC/EN 60079-19 standard and the relevant technical specifications. The company’s Saqr-ATEX certificate is valid for 18 months, subject to a maintenance audit.
